Urinary Incontinence and Overactive Bladder

We broadly divide urinary incontinence into stress incontinence, urge incontinence, and mixed incontinence.

Stress incontinence refers to incontinence experienced when the intra abdominal pressure rises- such as with coughing, laughing, exercising, heavy lifting etc.

Treatment involves:

Pelvic floor exercises; Bulking agents; Vaginal tape surgery(Transobturator or Retropubic tapes)

Dr Bugwandin is able to offer all the above options.

Urge Incontinence tends to overlap with the overactive bladder. Frequency and urgency of urination characterize this disorder. We exclude other medical and urological conditions, and then offer the following therapies

Pelvic floor exercises
Beta Agonist therapy, Anticholinergic therapy
Botox injections into the bladder
